AMC has a long and storied history which helped produce many unique cars and ideas. As an underdog competitor to the Big Three, AMC introduced the “dinosaur-fighter” strategy. While the Big Three introduced ever-larger cars, AMC focused on compact, fuel-efficient vehicles that used shared components to cut costs. The reliable, low-cost model sold extremely well and the interchangeability of many parts among various platforms still makes them very popular among enthusiasts today.
The King of the Hill event was a huge success with a great turnout of AMC’s. The weather was hot and the new vending machine got quite a workout as everyone hung out on the tarmac but it didn’t deter anyone from enjoying the smell of burnt rubber and the roar of highly modified motors!
